I am originally from Jackson, Alabama. I have lived in Mobile for over 26 years.  I have been married 26 years, with two awesome, beautiful, talented, wonderful daughters, Robyn and Tyler. They are truly the two halves of my heart; my pride and joy.

This year marks my 17th year of working with special needs students in Mobile County. I was fortunate enough to be a work-at-home mom doing medical transcription until my girls started school. In 2000, I began working in the Mobile County Public School System as a paraprofessional.  After seven years, I returned to college and obtained my teaching degree in Special Education - Collaborative 6-12.  I recently completed my Masters Degree in the area of Special Education, Collaborative Studies from the University of South Alabama. I am also certified to teach Middle School Math 6-8th grade.

My favorite thing to do away from school is to spend time with my family. I also like to travel with my pup, Kuro.  Most of our traveling involves visiting my parents, who still live in my hometown, and my youngest daughter who lives in Huntsville, Alabama.
